FAVORITE:

Fog.

I love fog. It is hauntingly beautiful, yet creepy at the same time. It can be pretty visible through, and it can be very dense. It’s kind of daunting how if it is really dense, how you can’t see anything in front of you, and have to come within feet, even inches of something to see it.

MUST WATCH HALLOWEEN MOVIES:

The Fog and The Fog remake, I love when the same people involved with the original are involved with the remake and make a retelling/re-imaging of the film (in this case it is John Carpenter and Debra Hill). You know it’s going to be just as good. And in this case, I love the original and remake equally. I really enjoy “the town has secrets and something comes back for vengeance” genre. And The Mist I fell in love with because it takes place in a grocery store (I used to work in one of those). Even though I enjoyed the ending of Stephen King’s book better, the movie is pretty damn good. This version of the dvd includes a black and white version which totally rocks!

Movie Descriptions:

The Fog (1980): The sleepy seaside village of Antonio Bay is about to learn the true meaning of the word “vengeance.” For this seemingly perfect town masks a guilty secret – a past steeped in greed and murder. Exactly 100 years ago, a ship was horribly wrecked under mysterious circumstances in a thick, eerie fog. Now, shrouded in darkness, the long-dead mariners have returned from their watery grave to exact a bloody revenge. Can this waking nightmare be stopped, or will the fog keep rolling in…to kill and kill again?

The Fog (2005): Trapped within an eerie mist, the residents of Antonio Bay have become the unwitting victims of a horrifying vengeance. One hundred years ago, a ship carrying lepers was purposely lured onto the rocky coastline and sunk, drowning all aboard. Now they’re back, long-dead mariners who’ve waited a century for their revenge. Seeking out the descendants of those responsible for their deaths, they lurk enshrouded within a supernatural fog of terror. Beware, any and all who stand in their way.

Stephen King’s The Mist (2007): After a mysterious mist envelops a small New England town, a group of locals trapped in a supermarket must battle a siege of otherworldly creatures…and the fears that threaten to tear them apart.

Let the fog roll in…….
