FAVORITE:

Cabins

Now, I’m not talking about regular cabins that people escape to on the weekends (those are great!!), I am talking about the creepy ass cabins that you always see in horror movies! They always appear normal on the outside, and even the inside, but when the night falls, shit’s about to go down. And even though it makes me cringe, I love it.

MUST WATCH HALLOWEEN MOVIES:

The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, Cabin Fever, and The Cabin in the Woods

photo-7Many, many years ago, when I bought and first watched The Evil Dead, is creeped me out. The Dead were just so damn creepy and scary, I was always cringing when the next one would come. Definitely among the top. I included Evil Dead II because they revisit the cabin. Cabin Fever is gruesomely wonderful. And The Cabin in the Woods, original, but it left me wanting more, could have been a little better, but give it kudos for being different.

Movie Descriptions:

The Evil Dead (1981): A group of friends who go to a cabin in the woods, where they find an unspeakable evil lurking in the forest. They find the Necronomicon, the Book Of The Dead, and the taped translation of the text. Once the tape is played, the evil is released. One by one, the teens become deadly zombies. With only one remaining, it is up to him to survive the night and battle The Evil Dead.

Evil Dead II (1987): Ash, the sole survivor of The Evil Dead, returns to the same cabin in the woods and again unleashes the forces of the dead. With his girlfriend possessed by demons and his body parts running amok, Ash is forced to single-handedly battle the legions of the damned as the most lethal – and groovy – hero in horror movie history!

Cabin Fever (2002): Jeff, Karen, Paul, Marcy and Bert embark on a vacation deep into the mountains. With the top down and the music up, they drive to a remote cabin to enjoy their last days of decadence after college. Then somebody gets sick. Karen’s skin starts to bubble and burn as something grows inside her, tunneling beneath her flesh. As the others try to save her, they look at one another and realize that any one of them could be next. One by one they turn on each other and the rest of the town…realizing that the disease is the least of their problems.

The Cabin in the Woods (2012): A rambunctious group of five college friends steal away for a weekend of debauchery in an isolated country cabin, only to be attacked by horrific supernatural creatures in a night of endless terror and bloodshed. Sound familiar? Just wait. As the teens begin to exhibit standard horror-movie behavior, a group of technicians in a control room are scrutinizing, and sometimes even controlling, every move the terrified kids make! With their efforts continually thwarted by an all-powerful “eye in the sky,” do they have any chance of escape?

So beware the next time you step foot into a cabin….
