Growing up, my favorite holiday was always Halloween. I loved to dress up and to go trick-or-treating. While true that most of the time, it was about the candy, as I got older, it was about seeing the homes and others dressed up.
But as I became adult, my favorite holiday has changed to Christmas. I love everything about it. Lots of family and friends time. The magic in the air. How people seem to become better people around the holidays. The Christmas movies! Decorating. And presents. Because, who doesn’t love presents?!?! I love the saying “it is better to give than to receive” because I love to give gifts, and I love to watch people opening them. I get so much joy through their joy.
Fall is definitely my favorite season. I rarely call it Autumn. How come it has 2 names, and the other seasons don’t??
I love the chill in the air, and its freshness and crispness. I love the changing of the leaves. Hot chocolate. Halloween. Sweatshirt, but shorts weather. Bonfires, they are the best in the Fall.
If I could live in a state of Fall all the time, I would. It would be perfect.
I love the sound of bagpipes!
EDIT: I forgot, I also love the harp!
I also like the clarinet, I played that in 5th grade band.
I love Sundays, yet I hate them at the same time.
Sunday is my only day off. I always plan to get things done (cleaning/organizing/writing) and always end up doing none of the above, and just chilling (laying in bed, watching movies, maybe some reading, or just constantly checking FB, twitter, instagram, and vine; and now with NASCAR back, watching the races). It’s so damn frustrating. I should just never plan on doing anything on Sundays, then I wouldn’t feel so unaccomplished.
Well, it is only 10:15 am, let’s see what I can accomplish today…
Have a great day folks!
If you know me, you know how much I love Buddy Holly. If you don’t know me, let me tell you, I love Buddy Holly. My all-time favorite musician.
My social media/profile pic is almost always Buddy Holly. For special occasions, I will change it, but usually only for a day or two. This is my pic of choosing for a few reasons:
1. It’s Buddy Holly
2. It’s Blue (which is my favorite color)
3. It’s easy to see when scrolling through timelines (FB/Twitter).
The pic is one that I took during the Fremont Experience (downtown Las Vegas) show Don McLean’s “American Pie” (which is my second favorite song ever). It’s cropped down from a pic of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper, whose lives were cut way too short on February 3rd, 1959.
The Day The Music Died.
